Thereby preferably sustainable products are purchased from the producers who are certified according to the international food safety standards such as Global Gap, BRC, IFS or ISO 22000.
Food safety: practical and efficient
Hofotra purchases its field vegetables from carefully selected suppliers, where assurance of food safety forms a component of the procurement process. Moreover;
- All products are in the possession of a quality system based on HACCP principles of the Codex Alimentarius;
- Producers are certified according to the latest version of renowned international standards such as Global Gap, BRC and ISO 22000;
- All vegetables we trade are subjected to a hazard analysis whereby appropriate verification measures are drawn up.
- Supplier-appraisal is conducted on the basis of hazard analysis.
Product quality
- The field vegetables we source, export and trade are closely assessed throughout the chain for their quality;
- Hofotra purchases its products from the producers who have implemented a well thought-out product quality control program.
